Clearing the Air: Akshay Kumar's Response to Alleged BJP Promotion in His Films.
Akshay Kumar, a prominent figure in the Bollywood industry, known for his back to back movies, playing various roles. Some important films like "Padman," "Raksha Bandhan," "Toilet: Ek Prem Katha," "OMG," and "Mission Mangal" in recent times. But some people have criticized him because he has been involved in projects linked to the ruling BJP government.
In a recent interview, Akshay Kumar, the star of "OMG 2" and numerous other Bollywood hits, responded to speculations surrounding his involvement in films perceived as promoting the BJP. Addressing these concerns, the actor emphasized, “Lots of time people say that they promoted Swachh Bharat Mission and I made Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. They had a Mars Mission and I made Mission Mangal. Aisa nahi hai, maine Airlift bhi banai, us waqt Congress ka raaj tha. No one talked about that. Even Mission Raniganj is set during Congress’ tenure. It is about the bigness and goodness and what happened. It doesn't matter who was in power. What matters is what was done for the betterment of the country.”
Celebrating the release of his latest movie, "Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue," which features Parineeti Chopra as the lead actress. Currently, he is in Hyderabad for the filming of "Singham Again," which commenced on October 9 and is scheduled to last for a week.
