The Dutch driver, starting from pole position, not only led every lap but also clinched the fastest lap of the race, leaving his teammate Sergio Perez trailing behind by a staggering 22.457 seconds.

Red Bull's remarkable one-two finish, mirroring their success from the previous year, served as a bold statement to their competitors vying for change in the championship.

Carlos Sainz of Ferrari secured the final spot on the podium under the dazzling floodlights of the Sakhir circuit, with his teammate Charles Leclerc closely following in fourth position.

This triumph marked Red Bull's 114th victory since their inception in Formula One two decades ago, placing them on par with former champions Williams as the fourth-highest winners in the sport's history. Verstappen's stellar performance also propelled his career win count to an impressive 55.

At 26 years old, Verstappen has maintained his championship lead for an unprecedented 40 consecutive races dating back to May 2022, now boasting an eight-race winning streak extending from Japan last September.

Expressing his elation over the team radio, Verstappen hailed the race as "simply lovely" and commended his team for the fantastic start to the season, particularly celebrating their one-two finish.

Last year's champion, Verstappen, who secured 19 victories out of 22 races, appeared even more dominant this season compared to the previous one, where he triumphed over Perez by a margin of 11.987 seconds but fell short of securing the fastest lap.

Mercedes' George Russell clinched the fifth position, followed by McLaren's Lando Norris in sixth.

Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton faced a challenging start, commencing from ninth position and ultimately finishing in seventh for Mercedes.

McLaren's Oscar Piastri secured the eighth position, while Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin and his teammate Lance Stroll rounded off the top ten, finishing ninth and tenth respectively.
