The trend, which gained attention from a viral tweet by venture capitalist Justine Moore, involves users uploading photos of their matches and asking the AI bot to estimate their height based on proportions and surroundings.
Moore’s tweet revealed that after testing the method on ten friends and family members, ChatGPT’s height estimates were accurate within an inch. This newfound tool offers women a way to verify if a match’s height claim is true before meeting them in person.
To try this method, users simply take screenshots from dating apps like Tinder, Bumble, or OKCupid and upload them to ChatGPT with the request: “How tall would you estimate this person is?”
The AI bot may request more photos to make a more precise assessment, especially if the first image doesn’t show enough of the person’s body or lacks reference objects like cars or street signs for comparison.
Moore noted that the estimates are generally reliable and have gained popularity as women increasingly seek ways to avoid mismatches based on physical appearance, particularly height.
